Main - How we can help!

Alright, luckily we do have plenty of ways to help you, to help us! Not only that we'll try to keep you informed about the newest things going on in the community, we can also :

Host your site*:

• Simply read through our disclaimer and if you agree to all terms write us an email concerning:

a) your sitename (also please give us some basic info on it...)

b) your username (please note, that that is going to be the name you're reffered to from the internet, meaning that your space will be called : http://diehard.ath.cx/~yourname/) It is also important to remember the proper username. Our system is running Linux and thus Case sensitive (meaning that the username 'Test' is not the same as 'test')

c) your password (please make sure to choose a secure one!)

• Then we will make the space up for you! Once it is up, you'll receive a small letter from us...

• The next step is to login to our server. You can either use our web user interface:

    https://diehard.ath.cx:19002 (simply type this url to your webbrowser)

Or connect to our server (http://diehard.ath.cx) via FTP! For that you can either download an FTP program of your choice (eg: WS_FTP) and connect to our server :

      Host name / Adress: diehard.ath.cx

      UserID : yourusername

      Password : yourpassword

Or simply use the InternetExplorer . To do that, simply type in : ftp://diehard.ath.cx/ as your url, then click on "File", "Login as" and type in your username and password... Or you can type in this url instead:

ftp://yourusername:yourpassword@diehard.ath.cx/

• Once you're connected, you'll see two new folders! One is called "public_html" . This is where you need to place all your files into.  If you're using IE, then you can drag and drop all your files from your Computer to that folder, just as you would in Windows. Otherwise you'll probably see two different areas. One contains the folders we talked about, the other one (most likely the one on the left) contains all of your harddrive files. Once again simply drag and drop the files you want to upload from there, to your folder!

• Now you're set to go! Please notice, that we do not have an upload limit, but remember, that your webspace will be checked on a daily basis upon illegal software! This means that no Pronography/Hackz/Crackz or warez are allowed on this server. You will be banned for uploading stuff as that!

Host your Forum:

• We can also host a forum for you on the Diehard Forum! Simply write us a short mail with the follwoing data :

a) your username at the board (yes, you need to be registered)

b) the Forum name

c) some basic information on the Forum

• Once we got that information, we'll gladly set it up for you...

 

Offer you an email adress

• We also offer free email adresses if you're interested in one yourname@trescom.org adress, then please write us another email with your data.

Present your work

• You can always present your Trespasser related work here on TresCom! Simply send it in, or use our upload script to do so :)
