Remade Cutscenes
This project is a complete visual recreation of the original Trespasser cutscenes, rebuilt from the ground up using Blender.
The goal was not to reinterpret or redesign the narrative, but to preserve the original cinematic intent (while allowing for some artistic license) and
overcoming the severe limitations of the original 1998 FMV implementation, especially heavy CD-era compression, low resolution, and loss of visual clarity.
Compared to the original cutscenes, which were encoded at 640×348 and 15 FPS, these remade versions are rendered at 1920×1080 and 24 FPS.
Note: This requires the TresCEFFmpeg DLL in order to work.
Upscaled English Cutscene Videos (SMK)
"The original game's cutscenes have been upscaled from 640×348 to 1920x1044, resulting in clearer and more detailed visuals.
This allows the sequences to appear cleaner and better suited for modern resolutions.
This archive contains versions without subtitles."
These are in SMK format to replace the ones in your /menu/ folder.
Note:
Requires the TresCEFFmpeg plugin in order to work.
