Welcome to another big news post, mainly due to the lack of time on my part to keep you updated on what is happening in the community, specially for those who are not a part of our forum.

TrespasserGuy has released yet another level in the Lost Jungle series, originally started by Draconisaurus. Make sure to grab it and check it out:
TresCEFFmpeg: Smacker DLL For Other File Formats
Now this is something exciting! Community members Sho and KeyofBlueS have created a new Smacker DLL that allows you to replace the original Trespasser cutscenes in higher quality as well as in other file formats. This tool is required in order to use the high quality cutscenes made by KeyofBlueS. You can grab this from our download section: TresCEFFmpeg Download Page
High Quality Cutscenes (English Plus Italian Subtitles)
Thanks to this new Smacker DLL, KeyofBlueS has released another set of upscaled cutscenes for both the English version, as well as a set with Italian subtitles. Please note that this requires the above (TresCEFFmpeg) DLL in order to work. This replaces the previous released high quality cutscenes by KeyofBlueS, and they also come in a lower file size!

Trespasser’s 30th Anniversary Level
While Trespasser’s 30th anniversary is almost 2 and a half year away (2028), we decided to start working on a 30th anniversary level. We hope that we will finish this in 2 years, but knowing the community, we always expand and make these anniversary levels bigger. TheIdiot’s MegaJungle Update
Every once in a while, TheIdiot releases a new version of their MegaJungle level, a resource levels that can be used by modders for new assets in their levels. This isn’t a big update, as mentioned by TheIdiot:
“I haven’t added a whole lot of new stuff in this release, the “Plains Trees” from RTJP are the only asset I’ve added. Instead, I have done some re-organizing, fixing, and cleaning-up in general. This is the beginning of what I hope to be a more polished version of MegaJungle that I will work on over time.”

Blender Plugin: Terrain Optimizer
Teromen has created a plugin for Blender that allows you to optimize high-poly terrains rather than doing it all manually in TresEd. Very helpful for those creating terrains from heightmap files. You can grab it in our download section:

TeroJungle Update
Draconisaurus has released an updated version of Teromen’s “TeroJungle” level, released back in 2017.
“I spent a bit of time and updated your early small-terrain-size level with some things. I went through a few steps to create a new base terrain texture, from some ideas I had about the level… It’s a rather cool small area of Tres to walk around in.”

TheIdiot’s Updated Velociraptors Movie Skins
When TheIdiot released their velociraptor skins based on the movies, they mentioned that they were not that happy with them and planned on updating them. They have now released an updated sets of skins that fully replace the old version.
“The TLW Raptor got a totally new skin. The old one was based heavily on the TC~Isle Raptor (I traced its stripe pattern) which, while cool, didn’t really look a whole lot like the one from TLW. So I busted open the good ol’ “Barrel Full O’ Raptors” by SecondIlliteration (https://www.trescom.org/download/veloci … o-raptors/) and got to work. Using my JP1 Raptor as a base, I fiddled around with SI’s skin, cut little bits here and there, tweaked the colours, and re-did the face to match the movie – and here we are, a TLW Raptor I’m finally happy with! I also updated the “hybrid” skin to match. Then I got a bit carried away and used a similar but somewhat lazier process to also convert SI’s Trespasser Raptor skins in a similar fashion, resulting in this new pack of six JP1-style Raptor skins! The Tres Raptors were done rather quickly and aren’t perfect – a few details were carried over which I’d wanted to replace with my own – but they will probably be iterated on at a later point.”
