When I use this patch I can not save game. I pull up the menu to save it and when i press override save nothing saves. Somone help ASAP.
Make sure to not have the game installed under “Program Files” as the game is not allowed to write (save) to that folder. Either reinstall it outside that folder, or right-click the CE EXE and run as admin.
Does this patch work in windows 98?
I want to use it in win98 still.
I do not believe it has been tested on Windows 98. But my guess is that it does not work, as it requires the latest DirectX 9 that doesn’t have Windows 98 support. The ATX patch should work fine however.
Hi, I installed the patch today but I can’t put the game into 1920 x 1080. The game launches, but I get a pop-up telling me my video card doesn’t have certified DirectX drivers, and my graphics card (NVIDIA RTX 3050) doesn’t appear in the video driver setup. I do have DirectX9 installed. Any idea what the problem is? I wasn’t able to find any prior documentation on it.
Hi radiantisgabriel! Did you also put the DLL from the “contrib.zip” in your folder? That contains a specific DirectX DLL required as well.
