Trespasser 2: Another chapter released

Sk8er was again kind enough to spend alot of time on an extra cool and new episode of “Trespasser 2”. So all of you , who have been eager to see it, read it here.

TresCom Isle: new screenshots arrived!

Well, we felt kinda bad for not having an update on TresCom Isle for quite a while. So today we’re gonna make up for it. Take a look:

Rumor: Havoc Engine uses Trespasser code?

The well known “Havok Engine”, which is a game engine that can simulate realistic physical effects and environments, may not be as unique as it sound. Rumors state, that there might even be a connection between the “Havok Engine” and the Physics Engine used within Trespasser. It might even be that the Havoc engine was based on the original code from Trespasser! Now, we don’t know whether this is true or not, but similarities can be found…

Forum: Upgrades!

Our beloved TresCom forum, heart of our community, got some small improvements. Here’s a quick list of ’em:

-added a quick-link to the trescom chatbox

-added a page with a list of all recently active topics

We also tried to slightly improve our main page and added a nice “users-online” status to our right menu bar. Now if you take a look at it, then you will see who’s currently cruising around our boards 🙂 We certainly hope that this will attract more of you to come…

TresCom: CRYING FOR HELP!

Again we’re sorry to say, that we’re running out of images for our screen-of-the-week section. So if you happen to have any fun Trespasser-images you’d like to share with the rest of the world, then don’t hesitate and send ’em right over. We’re patiently waiting for submissions…

TpTDac’s new level

Wow, ir really looks as if our small little contest got the community going. Another old community member: TpTDac, which you may remember from his great level: ‘The PineValley Run’. (of course it’s still available in our download section), is currently working on a great new one: “The Four Towers”. Well I think that the screenshots speak for themselves:

GTA: Isla Nublar Edition

This is something, which may not be all that Tres related. But Dinosaur_Neill has been working on a site devoted to a GTA mod called: GTA: Isla Nublar Edition. Now you may ask why we’re reporting about this, eh? Well, the answer is easy. He might actually start wroking on one and if he does,he’ll use some of the original Tres models in game… Ever wondered how GTA:Trespasser would look like? Then take a look at the official page

Mickey’s got a new level as well

Mickey also started working on his very own level: The Dead Valley. I think that the first screenshots are looking very promising. So take a look yourself :

Old forum is back online

We have noticed, that our old forum (which is accessible from the menu) must have been inaccessible for a while now. We fixed that and got it all back up and running. So we hope that you’ll enjoy reading all of the Old Forum topics.

Previously unseen pre-release images!

Machf found these great images of the mysterious program named GUInterface used by development team of Trespasser:

And this is the text that accompanied the the pictures:

07/08/97

3:00p

In response to recent questions raised on the message board, Brady Bell sends along these two images, which undoubtedly prove the exact polygon count of the t-rex in question (354, to be exact).

So, how the heck are they doing it? Something that never occured to me….bump mapping. Take a look at the second image which shows the model without the skin or bump mapping on.

Anyway, here they are….be warned, these are rather large.

This was found on an web-archive of the old Trespasser site at Planet Quake. It is Amazing that its still possible to find this ancient stuff these days. Thanks again Machf. Keep searching people! 🙂

New TC-Isle images

Here are three new images as usual:

New TresEd release & new T-script utility

Andres has released yet another improved version of TresEd. It’s advanced but extremely easy to use terrain editing will make life even easier. Screenshot:

And if that weren’t enough he has also coded a neat user-friendly T-script editor.

That all can be download here.

What would this community be without you Andres?! Great work! 🙂
