A Most Felicitous Occurrence.

I am endebted to madppiper for giving me the honour of announcing this fine, news-worthy, proclamation-deserving, shindig-causing event. Yes, that’s right, the moment you’ve all been awaiting with a nigh-on uncontrolable fervour and eagerness has arrived; it is my pleasure to officially announce the release of the “TC-Isle Demo“, within which is included for your game-experience delectation a selection of not only the finest work TresCom has produced to date but also the admirable recent contributions of one Big Red. I trust it may it bring you joy on this day.

Regards, -Wajas-

Mommy, are these dinosaurs?

Hilwo has send us an amazing collection of additional dinosaur-ranks. We of course added them to the forums and set the bar to being a big-guy even higher. (yes, many of you haven’t even reached the meat-eating dinosaurs). To give you an impression of our new ranking system look at these nice additions:

We certainly hope that you’re enjoying these new ranks. Thanks again to Hilwo. We’re always happy to receive little gifts like this…

Finding Neill

Dinosaur_Neill has posted a story on his site telling us how he was fooled by Madppiper. Apparently Neill, 2nd place holder in the past Trescom contest, still hadn’t seen his name in Tc-Isle, which was place as an easter egg. Little did Neill know about the trickery that awaited him when he asked Madppiper to take a picture of his name…

Evilness! Neill has been blurred out! 😮

Help restore justice to the world by taking a proper picture of Dinosaur_Neill’s name.

Bloody Dinosaurs!

Oh no… I knew the day would come when we found “dino D-N-A”! Oh lord! You know what that means! That means they are going to clone all these dinosaurs, set them loose in our backyards, and watch as they eat our dogs and crash into windows and busses and… oh lord! Well maybe it won’t be so rash. Perhaps they will engineer them to be pygmy-sized dinosaurs, who are only allowed to eat a specific kind of pet food. They can sell millions. What an original idea!

Okay okay… I’m only half telling the truth. True, they have found some dinosaur DNA (Tyrannosaurus to be exact) within a fossilized skeleton, but what is not true is the fact that they are cloning them. In fact, it is pretty unlikely since they can’t even clone the DNA of the frozen mammoth found some years back. Oh darn. Well anyway, this is still a remarkable find, so if you would like read up on this, go here.

TresCom Isle patch 2

Well, what can I say. Been a while, eh? But we’re certainly going to make up for the huge delay on updates. Let’s start off by presenting you a very new update to our popular level: “Tc-Isle“!

The Update fixes various minor issues and also includes all newly discovered functions by BigRed. We of course strongly recoomend this download.

Big Red = Big TresPatch

And he did it again. This time, he implemented some extremely cool features, such as a Map function and also a cheat which allows Dinosaurs to enter buildings. He also created a new website on his latest release, so pay him a visit here.

The TresRace

Our community was having some great fun planning a short Trespasser race on who beats the game the fastest (without using cheats). Unfortunately, nobody showed up. We liked the idea however and request everybody to participate in this fun event. Simply install Big Red’s latest patch. Open the game and start the timer. Play through the levels (write down your time at the end) and post up your score on our forum…

I personally don’t think that anybody should miss this fun-event.

The Trespasser E-Zine

A new team has gathered to create a weekly Trespasser E-magazine and they are still looking for help! Interested? Join the circle by posting up a request on our forum…

Big Red strikes once again!

Wonderkind Big Red surprises the community on almost a daily basis. Within just a single week, he created 4(!) Versions of an ultimately modified Trespasser-Exe. All of his previous patches are included (eg, his windowed Trespasser mode and the extremely cool “Matrix”-cheat) and new features are enabled, such as a very neat map function (which displays the correct location on a map in-game), a time-clock (which was requested by various forum members) and more…

But that’s not nearly it! All cheats have been made available and a nice ingame-video-trigger has been made available for level builders…

You should certainly read up on it more detailed, by visiting the link here

Second look on the Vivo-Clip

Machf took another look at the very popular Trespasser vivo-clip and turned it into a mpeg clip, so that everybody can take a look. We uploaded the clip for your behalf onto our servers, so grab the file here if you want to take a look at a very early Trespasser commercial.

Good-bye Jurassic Island

This tidbit of news struck many Jurassic Park fans early last week: Jurassic Island is closing it doors. Jurassic Island has been our partner in crime for years and been one off the most popular Jurassic Park websites on the net. Without their help, many of developements may not have been a success, as they helped us promote ourself in many ways…

But not all is lost. The gang build up a new website, by the name of “terrasco”, which features most of their Jurassic Park content and also a huge database on dinosaurs and other movies. So please do us a favor and visit our old friends… may their new website be as succesful as the old.

Windowed Trespasser Patch

TresCom member Big Red, just released another patch. With this patch you can now play Trespasser in a windowed mode, as long as play in software mode and set your desktop to 16bit mode.

In addition to this Big Red has promised more patches in the coming months, including the addition of new action types usable inside the game, such as, the Matrix mod. So be sure to drop by Big Red’s site

The Hunter Camp Project

MikeTheRaptor has been working hard on the new revived Hunter Camp level. Mike is going thru the hard process of the Trespasser level creation all by himself, doing his own models at the same time. Be sure to check his site, Trespasser Underground for any further updates on this exciting project.

A Salute To The Lost And The Forgotten

Ever wondered how the Trespasser community started? How it was 7 years ago? Who were/are the most important members? Proceed to read this brief history of trespassing.

Tc-Isle Beta Patch

Rebel’s been working day and night to fix the last minor issues on this fine TresCom product. We recommend this patch to all, since it increases the overall gameplay of the level. However, this patch is only available for the high-resolution version. You can download the file here

Dinosaur_Neill’s trip to Trespasser

Dinosaur_Neill published a really cool Trespasser comic up on his website and well… too be honest, we kinda forgot to report about this. But to make it up to you, take a look yourself here.

Tc-Isle relinked

We realised that people were having some extra trouble finding the correct Tc-level for download. Some were downloading Tc-Level instead of Tc-Isle, others couldn’t get the password app working and almost anybody was confused over the fact that it wasn’t even listed on our downloads page…

Well, there’s good news: We have fixed all of these issues and merged both Tc-level pages. We also added a nice link to the download page, to make it all more obvious. I hope that this is helping, we will update these pages at the time given. Want to know more? Head over to the pages here

Screen of the week

As you may have noticed, we haven’t updated the Screen of the week page for quite some time. So here’s our excuse: We are actually working on a nice update system, which will allow us to update it all automatically. This of course takes time. Please be patient and keep the screens coming (we honestly don’t have enough). We will update the sotw as you’re reading this…

Stranded: Jurassic Park

After recognising that the other Jurassic Park related websites aren’t updated often enough anymore, I decided to include some Jurassic Park related news every now and then.(as a personal excuse: “Hey, this is what Tres is based on!”) I am gonna start with this news item for you folks: a new Jurassic Park fan flick is in the making! Justin Skeens send us the plot a few minutes ago. We uploaded it here for your enjoyment.

Isn’t there more to read?

Well, there is folks! Mega Raptor sent us another story: Survival!. So to all of you mindlessly studying / hard working fellas out there: How about reading something worth the effort for a change? Do so here

Big Red hits the Matrix!

To be honest I was immensly suprised when I read this: Community-member Big Red succesfully hacked into the exe once again and came across some left over code! With that info he created an entirely new tool to see ingame strings (which is useful for all the game modders out there) and also created an extremely cool “Matrix”-Mod for trespasser! Ever wanted to know how slow-mo Dinosaur bites look like??? then head over to his website and find our yourself! Awesomly done Big Red!

well, head over to his News-thread over at our board for more exciting updates…
