Board Fixes

Well, we fixed some minor board errors, including the broken ‘avatars function’. So from now on you should be capable of uploading and using your very own avatar(size:up to 80×80 pixel, 6k) to our server. You can also send us small images, and we’ll gladly add them to our brand new avatar gallery. If you are not a registered user of our forum yet, please visit us here.

TC-Level patch released

That’s right. The TresCom Ops released a great new patch to the infamous TC-Level (v1.0). The patch includes some smaller bugfixes and increases the levels framerate! Downloading and installing this patch is therefore highly recommended. Download the patch : here.

New Utility Test-Release

Andres released a hole bunch of new versions of his tools, including some test-versions of his all new tools MakeSCN and TpmImport:

# TresEd: Integrated MakeSCN (partitions generated automatically during level save), quick Reload Level, export 16bit RGBA textures (eg. muzzle flash), several bug fixes,Terrain Edit mode, object Hiding, ‘Named Selections’ (groups).

# GeomAdd: Import unlit 16bit RGBA textures (eg. muzzle flash), fixed a problem with animated textures (occured with some ocean objects).

# MakeSCN: Beta test of utility to make edited/new levels run faster (creates spatial partitions in the SCN files).

# TpmImport: Alpha test of MAX script to import TPM files.

News from Bill Brown

We received news from Bill Brown, the former composer of the Trespasser soundtrack, stating that he has released his Lineage II soundtrack and made it available for download on the official Korean Lineage II website. Green Rex

And also Asjad send in this image featuring his altered T-Rex skin, which looks more like the dinosaur from the movie. Hopefully we will soon be able to put up a downloadable patch or add-on so you can install it to your own game.

Penguins ‘n Dinos

Dapper Dan reports that he has managed to get Trespasser to work under Linux. Using the latest version of Winex3 he was able to show us that it runs in both software and hardware mode. Aside from a few lag issues and sporadic sound crackles it seems to run just as fine, if not better, as on the Windows platform. Find the details on our forum, here.

We opened up a new section on our forum today: “Spino’s Section”, in which you can post any ideas arround Spino2aurus great TresCom Story. You definately are invited to share your opinion with us as well…

Then we’d like to draw your attention to the fanart section. We’ve given Sk8er his own section, due to his great efford in sending in more and more images… He even send in two extra images, just for today, in order to celebrate his new section. Congratulations and Thank you mate 🙂

But that certainly isn’t enough for today. We also got news from Frost, who has been working overtime on his great Trespasser Fan Flick : “The Return to Jurassic Park”. he send us some exclusive informations, which you can read here.

And then we’ve finally updated our “screenoftheweek” images. Thanks goes to DarthRaptor. Please keep on sending in images. There are at least 30 more weeks coming up till the end of the year!

But now to come to some more TresCom related news: We got the next 2 parts of the great TresCom story up! So all of you, who have been patiently waiting for the next part head over to our articles section and read on. You won’t regret it!

But this ain’t enough for today. We’re also starting another great weekly story: Trespasser: New Beginnings. Even though it features the same name as our comics, it has an entirely new and unique content. Sk8er has done a fantastic job on this, so our articles section is once again waiting for you.

We are still having a lack of ‘screen of the week images’, so we would encourage anyone to send in whatever funny Tres-image he has got. Don’t be afraid 😉
