Howard (Spider-Man 3) has been frequently tipped to feature in the fourth installment of the franchise which is set to be released in 2015.
Rob Wyatt, lead programmer on Trespasser, has had enough of all that has been said about trespasser and he is willing to set the record straight! To our own surprise we were contacted by him just recently and here is what he had to say:
I should answer some tech questions about this game, a lot of stuff has been said that isn’t true. Rob Wyatt
Needless to say, we are smitten! The designer of the original Xbox and developer of games such as System Shock, Flight Unlimited and Trespasser, where his background in high energy physics came into play, Seamus Blackley has been involved in the gaming industry for over twenty years, and being the enthusiastic, approachable and genuinely nice guy he is, he agreed to take part in an interview with us about his time at Dreamworks Interactive and more specifically, his work on Trespasser.
A few week ago we asked you to post any questions you’d like to ask him, and here are the answers!
Well, hello there! Feel confused? Look around… do you see the difference? The past few weeks we spent migrating all of TresCom to a new content management system. This is a major step and certainly involved countless hours on our end. In total we:
- Migrated to the new Content Management System
- Imported 322 news posts
- Migrated 152 pages (hours of fun just there)
- Added 759 images to the new gallery (pssst – guess where you can find that one)
- Added new file system
- Added 113 files to the File-Database
- Fixed links
- Cleaned up the HTML
- Optimized the theme and redid all of the underlying HTML structure (expect more subtle changes in the near future – do I hear “mobile version”?!)
One of the benefits of the new & improved TresCom: social features! You can now comment on all our blogposts, share links and discuss everything right where you see it! You are welcome!
Coming later this year are not one, but two different versions of Jurassic Time! Each feature a new and exciting way to experience Hammond’s story from Trespasser and the lore of Jurassic Park! If you don’t know what Jurassic Time is, in it’s current iteration, check it out here.
The Annotated version features an intriguing new side-story of John Hammond’s son, Thomas. As he annotates some of the memoir, he also reveals some of the unrecorded dialogue from the original script!
The Excavated version, which will be used in the former, is a newly re-made version of the audio memoir itself, complete with new bonus content and an amazing new PDF book that features ALL of the unrecorded dialogue in it’s proper place.
To find out the full details of both projects, check out the TresCom forum topic here! You can also listen to a test track from the Annotated version!
This is a big one: As you may be aware, we recently interviewed Jack Horner and talked about Jurassic Park, Dinosaurs and the craft of Paleontology and yet another fantastic interview is just around the corner.
No other than Seamus Blackley, one of the most influential people in the gaming industry, has agreed to answer to you, the community! We love Seamus Blackley for his terrific work as executive producer on Trespasser, but of course we are equally amazed by his work on the XBox, System Shock & the Creative Artists Agency.
Once more we are going to share the experience with you, so if you ever wanted to shine a light on the biggest Trespasser questions, here is your chance! As always, head over to our forum and ask away. We are going to collect our questions directly from the topic until friday 5th of July.
